Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if they have used ACID WASH 80 or ZAKOL toilet cleaner made by Clover Chemicals, & if so what are your views.
Thanks
Nathan. :)

I have used acidwash 80 - it was ok, reasonably strong brick acid.

Hi,
I've been told it works well on toilets that are in a really dirty way, i.e severe urine stains, scale ect.

Nathan,
For what you want to use Acidwash 80 for, it is the ideal product.
I have used it on external work i.e as a brick acid wasn't to impressed.

Hi,
Thanks for that, just one other thing. with Acid Wash 80 can you start working as soon as you apply it, or do you have to leave it for 2-3 hours before you start the cleaning ?

What brick acid do you use Roger? I cleaned mixer slops yesterday with selscale which is on line with acid wash 80. I will try the neolith acid as I was well pleased with the degreaser but I have been too busy to get to the depot recently. I never did recieve the techclean degreaser. We don't hear much from beryl now the pound is poor or maybe we don't need advice now !

BDCS
I get 33% Hydrochloric acid then mix it down to the strenght I need, pending on what I am trying to remove.
Re beryl how true..... ;)
I do have a new oil stain remover to test, I'll let you know how it works out, really do miss the Tech-clean stuff though.

Can't remember the dwell time, but it is not 2-3 hours that's for sure, I'll try to find the MSDS sheets and info and either post here or email them to you.
Couldn't find MSDS but here is a spec sheet.
