hi folks how do you all strap your machines securley in your vans . mine is strapped to the back of the driver seat but still sways about to much.
-
I have a small metal frame bolted to the floor that the rear wheel sits in. That stops the machine moving forward and back. Then i tie a bungie cord around the rear handle and onto the lashing bars up the side of the van. Thats holds the machine secure.
Van - transit
Machine - advantage

I have built a ramp so I can get mine in from either side door, there is also a bulkhead (ply sheet) between machine and seats and a mini bulkhead (MDF sheet) between machine and rest of van. I have also screwed some skirting to the floor, front and back of the machine so that when I push the machine up the ramp, over one skirt the machine sit snuggly between the skirting, no need for any straps or bungies.

Ratchet straps. (http://www.techhelpers.net/e4u/aliens/ufo.gif)

Cargo railing screwed into your ply lining, ratchet straps or strong bungee cords.

My Diamonback is wheeled in next to Solutions Carpetbox and wand / Buckets placed to the left. Hose bags are placed against rear of machine and it goes nowhere, without rattles.
Even the way i drive :o
ps. Carpet covered chemical box behind seats and carpeted floor must help muffle sound and prevent slipping.

What i've done is fix a large piece of wood to the floor which the wheels go up against. Then fix a piece of wood to a small board which can slide under the other wheels stopping the machine moving back and foward. Then just a rachet strap for extra security.

I had mine bolted to the floor by Hydramaster ;D
