It all depends on what RO you use really.
As a guide a 100 GPD one will stick around 3000 litres down the drain for every 1000 litres you produce. A 200GPD around 1500 to drain. a 300 GPD around 1000 to drain.
A merlin around 3000 litres to drain (Could be up to 5000)
A decent 40 inch system around 1000 litres to drain.
Now all you need to know is what your water company charges you for 1000 litres from the tap. How much pure you need a day and you can work it out.
Ohh a DI only set up will have no waste but only really usable economically up to 100 PPM from the tap.
Hope this helps

No.. with a 300 GPD unit on decent water pressure you should get around 1 litre of waste for every litre of product water.
