I got an ebay cheapy and first time I tested it smoke came bellowing out :o

Got a full refund though

Another one to avoid is the Truvox, it's cheap because you can whistle more airflow.

I had an Ashby 1.5hp from day one and still going strong I think they are also branded Hurricaine.

same as mike, bought one off ebay, smoke bellowed out, they replaced it free of charge, 6 months later, see earlier post, next one i get will have 12 months ticket on it, ive got a full room dryer, cost £300, so far (touch wood) no problems and its the D's B's. would certaily reccomend, recommend, reccommend, ahem!!! i'd certainly give it my backing.

Or indeed I can vouch for the longevity of the hurricanes from Ashbys, used to use and abuse them regularly, they're built like a tank and blow like a girl with bills to pay!

I have dealt with Olympic for as long as i can remember and have always got great products at great prices and if i have ever had any problems they have been dealt with there and then.
I am looking to invest in a couple of whole room dryers in the new year.
