Well guys - help again please! -
A funny old afternoon did one of my customers with upvc windows first time with pole. (last time GG4 one month ago) No rubber shows on upvc, it comes right over the glass at 45 degree angle if you see what I mean. When dry two hours later spots here and there plus a few very thin runs too - any ideas why?
The next house leaded upvc seemed ok as did the rest - wonder whats going on?
I produce the water in a 200 litre butt outside back dooe and the TDS reading going in is 001 - then I put it in 25 litre containers - put in back of motor and off I go Usually next morning but sometimes the day after.
Brush is a Salmon 15" x 3" supplied with system - one jet fans out, the other runs thru the bristles.

ha ha!

I've found it's all in the rinse....no problems now I understand what's going on.....

Lighten up Graham! I was genuinely amused by the Legionnaires Disease comment

Runs are down to not cleaning the Frames IE the top part well enought. Spots can be loads of things, give the brush head a good clean or better still add some GG3 in a bucket with some pure water and your be amazed and the results, i did do a long post over on the other forum about spotting. Alot of the time its all down to User Error and nothing else really.

GG3 in a bucket - sorry to be so dim - but how does that help? (would GG4 work?)
-
No offence i anit got the time to write it all out again, GG3 is for Soft water Ie Pure Water and GG4 is for hard water.

Malc have you tried Immodium? :) :)
-
MalcG,
Pure water does not have the protection (flouride or whatever) that 'tap' water has.
Water-borne diseases can be carried in it. So don't keep it for long. Im not an expert in this, and don't know how long 'long' is.
:)
Graham.
I've had some pure water in a one container for over a year, with still no rise in tds. Make sure its capped! Pure water only really becomes dangerous when you drink it.

or when you drop a barrel of it on your foot ;D

Or when its cold, and you try & get the cap off with bare hands.
-
Yeh, but come on Karl how often do you get cold over there? ;) ;D

Put some GG3 in a bucket of Pure Water and keep this in your car/van for rinsing your brush between jobs, or as much as you can. It makes a big difference in spot reduction.
Good advice Justin R

Are you kidding!!!!
Its been snowing here for the last 3 weeks.
We are also enjoying weather colder than the U.K. & with the humidity index, feels even lower.
(it was -25 in Granada a few days ago).

There is a great post about legionaires disease over on another forum, it is actually a risk with WFP, not a snowballs chance in hell of it happening in the winter though (allegorical, I like that ;D)
It isn't the storing of the water itself, it is also linked with the temp of the water being stored, has to be a certain temperture for the bacteria to develop.
If proper procedures are followed it won't happen, ie, changing filters regularly, keeping your water treatment out of direct sunlight, and so on.
It's very unlikey to actually happen though, WFP has been around for years, if it had caused a case of Legioaires disease somewhere in the world, I'm sure we would have heard of it :-\
