Ultra violet technology is used in security products to protect property. With the use of an ultra violet pen, property is marked with a specific sign, number or code. That mark is called an ultra violet mark, however, the mark will not be visible in normal light, but will glow when an ultra violet light is shed on it from an ultra violet lamp. The mark does not damage property in any way. This technology is used to mark property at home, school, office, on boats, and recreational vehicles. In case of a theft, once the goods are recovered you can confidently claim them.
Would it be an idea for Gardiner's to sell this item for wfp marking.

the trouble with all of these methods is that it doesnt actually stop the scrotes taking them in the first place and then selling them out of area on e bay ,in which case your never going to have a chance to check! Much better to make your equipment obviously yours !!

A Soco guy from West Midlands Police, told me that you have to kept reaplying the ink because it wears out quickly, with a pole which is used all the time it will wear out even quicker.
