Title: Hose repair

My hose has developed a few leaks will electrical tape be any good or do I have to splice it and rejoin it.

I have noticed a few areas that look like they will develop leaks soon, any ideas for prevention?

Water fed Pole hose ?.....you wont repair that with tape for long....if it's splitting or cracking all over....then you'll have to replace it all...what type are you using ?
