You just press the buttons in and the trapped air will come out. Do this until water comes out. Worth a try.

is the setting for the split to waste and pure correct?

or

maybe the membranes knackered when you get no water being produced?

disconnect the ro after pre filters, and see if water is coming out, it normally is ait in pre filters, another thing is turning on hose before (if you have a solinoid switch) turned on, it made back pressure on mine and no water was going in at all not even to the prefilters, another thing is there any splits in the hoses ? this is another thing that happened to me and it stopped water production.

i had similar problem with my ro, not a 40 40, but water didnt come out after one of the prefilters, it was strange and i never really figured it out, it was as if the filter had swelled and would not let any watet through

try unscrewing the housing slowly and let the water come through and let us know, this could also get rid of a air lock if you have one, but to me sounds like mine and may need to replace filters mate

does that mean there is no water coming out of prefilters ? if it is thats where the block is, when was the last time you changed them?

Top Clean.

You need to carryout a process of elimination to work out Why your mains water is unable to pass through your system.

What filtration components do you have?

       1. Water softener
       2. particular filter
       3. Carbon filter (block or granulated)
       4. R.O (40X40)

Try disconnecting your RO turn your system on and see if you have water coming through your prefilters.

If you do this means your problem is with your membrane. If not remove your prefilters one at a time to see if either your particular filter or your carbon filter is causing the problem.

Just out of interest what type of Carbon filter are you using is it a granulated or block filter. I had a duff granulated filter once this also caused a problem of water not being able to pass through my system. I now only use Carbon block filters.

If you carryout this test it should at least point you to which part of your set up that is causing the problem.

I hope this helps..

i had the same happen once , thought it was a faulty flow resrtictor, changed it ,no joy,

thought my water pressure had dropped, checked it _ fine,

was producing water very slowly,

thought it was pre filters so bought a new set ,

supplier sent 2 , 1 out of stock to follow,

so i changed 2 and left 1 in ( can you see where this is going? ;)

any way in the end i was convinst ro had, had it.

as a last resort i  stripped the entire thing down ran water through each chamber seperatly,

2 were great , 1 trickled through,

stripped it down took out filter , re tested empty ,

hey presto it worked ;D

it was the middle blue filter (carbon i think)

it has a blue housing similar to the di cartridge,it had swole at the top -reducing pressure,

i was happy , and mad at the same time,

if only they had sent all 3 filters together  ;D

Same filter as mine Daz, i stripped mine all down too, many hours of getting wet and extremly annoyed!

Id reccomend checking the water serperatly through each prefilter as me and Daz did.

This sould tell you which one is the problem
