been toying with the idea of joining my hose and waste pipes together, maybe with plastic ties or some sort off tape. just a thought as getting one pipe out of the van should theoretically save time, and less getting tangled especially when packing away. anyone tried this and what are the pro's and con's. or better still can you get them professionally joined all ready.

cable ties do a brilliant job. always used them.hope this helps.

when i bought my hose's.......i removed the cable ties..... :o :o :o
it made them very cumbersome and difficult to return to the hose bag
i find it much easier to recoil with out ties.........

A 2" vac hose is cumbersome on it's own. To tie a steel reinforced solution hose to it will make it doubly so. One hose will spiral around the other too over time making it even worse.
I wouldn't bother.

Tried it hated it, stayed tied together for about three hours then out came the snips.

Probably a better idea would be to have solution hose run inside the 2" vac hose and on the off chance that the solution hose bursts it will not damage customers furnishings.

The 2 different types of hoses want to curl up quite independently.
I too used to have them "tied" together but it was a battle to get them curled up, and that was with 1.5" hose.
Try it - will only cost you a few plastic ties.

Or even HOSES for courses.
Keep mine separate as well. The Ties can often get caught on skirting boards etc. Also if dealing with a flood you will only need the waste hose-your solution hose would only get in the way.

Running the solution hose through the vac hose cools down the water too much.

If we are using certain products then hot water is not necessary, as a cool water rinse will do.
I appears to me that will be the way is is going anyway.

I had them tied together for years I never had any problems with them being cumbersome or not curling up
just pulled them both of the reel and dragged them into the house. then reeled them in.
you are going to have try it your self and find out.

Tony, Derek is a Truckmounter so he utilises the heat from the machine which is one of the benefits of using one. Running it through a porty hose over a short distance should be ok and like you say, if using cold water it wouldn't be a problem anyway.

Hide a hose will also reduce the airflow, more so when fibrous material becomes trapped too.

With inch and a half, it's no bother up to 25 feet, but at 50 feet becomes a chore. Would not consider it with two inch.
Anyway, there won't be that many jobs where it takes more than a couple of minutes to go back for the solution hose.
