Just on purely domestic side averaged out at 9 a week so far this year.
No set times.
Usually end up doing 2 evenings a week, early tea and off about 4.40 but have that afternoon off if possible.
Won't work w/e in Summer unless pressed for domestic side.

Really up and down here, one week nothing, next week flat out.No concistancy what so ever, letting agy side has picked up again had 4 months with not a single job from them. Then did 4 in a week which came to over £900 .
Flipping turbo on the van cost me a feck load, and need to get my sol hose mended. Why does everything wait until i am skint before it goes wrong  >:(

I wouldn't get hung up on number of jobs because it depends what those jobs are worth!

My average domestic invoice for last year was about 130+VAT, someone else mgiht go and do a job for 30 quid.   So if I said I do 10 jobs a week and he says he does 30, that would make him sound "busier" or better off.

I know what I'd rather be doing!

But Sherco is'nt asking who is 'busier or better off' just how many jobs we do a day.

rather than profit his concern might be amount of work in a day over along period,

meaning.....  if we all say we do 4 jobs a day 6 days a week  and he finds it hard to do  2 jobs before needing to go home for a rest he'll might be concerned ;) ;)

Indeed Mike, but what I'm trying to illustrate is that if someone says they do 10 jobs it could be two mornings' work or a whole week of working 8am till 9pm!

Its a bit of both really, if you do one job a day at £150 thats fine, or 3 or 4 jobs at £50..All i really need to know this for is how well im advertising and pricing etc. If i can earn £180 - £200 per day 5 day per week i would be quite happy. But how long did it take you guys to get to this situation.

things are different now, when I came into carpet cleaning I aimed for £50 a day! but I was coming from a job that earned me £180 a week for 40hrs.

I worked the weekend as a lorry driver going into France every Friday night, back Sunday morning, for a bit I signed on and worked on the side  :'( :'(

I charged £35 for suites and living rooms £10.

now you can hit the road running, with all the information on the internet from these forum you can bypass all the mistakes and and soon be up to £700-£1000 a week

if you can manage on £400 a week for a few years then the big money will take 4-5yrs then you are on the gravy train :D :D

3 to 4 jobs a day averaging around 1 to 2 hours each.

Same week in week out, but can get busier at any time of the year and in every month will probably do 5 days where I am doing  upto 6 jobs a day.

Commercial work in early evening (say finishing by 7) once a quarter.

Only commercial work on Saturday's perhaps once every 2 to 3 months.

Has to be very profitable to make me work outside normal daytime hours (9.30 to 4.30.)

Never on a Sunday.

Bought the business off somebody else 10 years ago, who had started it 10 years prior to that.

Sherco, hope this helps.

Every weekend and a few days in the week i try and spread the work out, you dont always need to do four jobs in one day then sit at home twidling your thumbs for two, Spread the load. good luck

It troughs and peaks I  find.... I like the spreading the work out idea... I always said I would never work on a Mondays, but now I'm starting to hate Tuesdays!
