I pinched a kiddies plastic place mat (a large one)
Rolled it into cone shape and taped it to keep it together.

I use a Gutter Hopper to fill mine. Fill the cannister with water, and slide the top in and screw back down. Takes me longer to empty it!

how much? £17.50 for a funnel
Yip I know and have tried to get it cheaper. The biggest problem you have is this a unique tool and therefore is only used for di vessels. A jig for this itself will cost a couple of grand which is a big problem in the high cost.
If these were selling in their thousands then the price would be lower , but due to the high set up costs and low volume hence the high price. Sorry cannot go any lower.
Have to say I filled a di vessel in under a minute with this ;D

Halfords sell funnels that have a very wide top opening and you can cut the bottom off to get the width required. I have a red one and it cost me about £5 8 years ago (probably cheaper now).
-
I use a watering can and fill it from the bag with a garden trowel.
-
Plastic 2 ltre milk bottle with the bottom cut off, it even has its own handle, all you do is fill the bottle then, tap, tap, tap so it empties quicker.
-
I used a clean trowel and shovelled it in. Took about 10 minutes but for all the time I ever do it...

I use a big funnel, I think it cost £1 from the pound shop, cut off the bottom to leave nice size hole and tip the resin from bag into funnel and it saves me loads of waste, I used to use a pint glass and It was a pain in the back side, also used a jug that was the same. Round my way there does not ever seem to be any traffic cones (well not the ones needed to fill resin) ::)
