Title: Hardfloor spinner tools
Post by: mark_roberts on March 03, 2005, 04:51:11 pm
Been asking customers about tile cleaning and getting good feedback.  Currently using a rotary and wet vac for pickup.

Has anyone got a spinner type tool and whats the verdict?  Is it just as easy as prespray and then blast the tile with the spinner tool?

As ive not got a truckmount so I was thinking of a cheap B&Q pressure washer connected inline with my portable ie. the portable supplys the water and the pressure washer charges it up to 1000psi.  Would this work?

I see solutions, alltec and world of clean sell them.  Which is best and why?

thanks
Mark

Not much good for tight spaces or edges.

Mark, you may have a valid point there but then again even with the spinners you cant get right into the edges without having to purchase another attachment. At the end of the day presprays and the want for a word a 'little elbow greese' can save you hundreds on unnecessary equipment. The machine I said about is not that big and I have to say I have not had a problem with small spaces with it. The down fall with the spinners is you have to get yourself another machine to operate the machine a small pressure washer, ok, they are only cheap but the disavantage of them is they only come with a short hose which means you have got to have it close by where your working and lets face it they can be very noisy and not ideal to have in someones home or working kitchen

Mark.

Did you ever end up buying a spinner, if so, how do you find it. I have a T/M and am thinking of using this for hard floor cleaning as well as carpets.

However, I need to know how effective the spinner is before buying one. I also see that Rotovac have launched there new powerwand which has a hard floor attachement as well.

Jeremy

There's a new Rotovac 360 which will work with portables and cleans all surfaces, wieghs just 39 lbs and has handles like a motorcycle.

Generating a great deal of interest on the American / Canadian forum. The price is around $2200 (American)
