Have any of you guys been approached by victim support.
Basically what they say is they hold 2 contractors for each area and any work is shared between the 2.
When a victim contacts them, victim support phone you and you are required to contact the customer within 1 hour to assess the job. All invoices are paid by victim support. Sound good so far...... but.
There is a £150 annual registration fee and a £16 call out fee for each job.
Is this a worthwhile venture or a load of balls ?

Sounds like a franchise??
What support do you offer and are you going into a stressfull situation, where you could be classed as the white knight. then reality dawns, we see an oppurtunity and hey ho, you've been accussed of going into an other room and money has gone missing.
I know it sounds far fetched, but I speak from deep experience, leave well alone.

I would not bother with it mate like so many of these money up front schemes they turn out to be a no win for you, spend the money on a good web site and you will generate good work :)

Thats good as it shows there is work to be had and its a start for you :)
A good add on is going to be the gutter vac for the future :)

registration fees im my opinion usually mean that you are being scammed.
If its genuine then they can take the fee out of the work they get or i wouldent bother.
too many ways to get ripped off.

You'll be sending your personal details to Nigeria to collect the 15 mill us dollars left by some bloke that died with no relatives - or the charity police calender. You could send me the £150 and I'll let you have all my victim support jobs !

;D

The company in question is Boing Uk (24 hr service response) and are linked to police forces across the country. They co-ordinate locksmiths, window boarding, graffiti removal etc.

BOING BOING BOING - Dodgy cheques do that - Bounce. Seriously if you honestly think they are genuine ring victim support and ask them but I doubt if they will have ever heard of them

Sounds like a scam to me, had one in the summer offering me advertising in the police magazine. I would steer well clear

Have you read their terms etc. I'd decline to pay the initial fee in favour of it being stopped from the initial jobs should you agree to sign up. Whats to stop them taking your money and never giving you work, why have they not got a waiting list of contractors jumping for the work ?
