I had my van broken into over the weekend , back doors had been forced open , they had also had a go at the passenger door , fortunatley nothing seems to have gone , I'm thinking they must have been disturbed , so I have fitted a shackle-less padlock on the back doors and got a steering wheel lock from the police station hopefully that should do the trick. I am based between Leeds and Bradford , another window cleaner working in Leeds, has told me this morning, that he has heard of a few wfp vans have been done in West Yorks so please make sure your vans are secure.

Probably looking for the expensive carbon poles! nothing else really worth much in a general window cleaners van.
Still, is you van parked in the street? there are opportunists everywhere.. Its a shame times have come to this. also a shame you cant shoot the bleeders!

Parked on the drive .

Facing the road or facing the house.
I park mine on the drice facing the road, purposely. I think it helps to deter someone just trying to break in.

i have cctv front back and side floodlights come on as soon as someone is by drive way.plus two dogs bark as soon as they hear gate open

I left it facing the road. I am going to put a cctv camera and security lighting up.

if you put cctv up you have allso got to put signs up saying you are using cctv , allso when you put the light up make sure you dont get any glare going onto the camera lense , its a shame about your van mate but its happening all over the place .
