Had my ro now for 6 months and it has been reading 000 up until 6 weeks ago. It started to rise, 2,4 and then 5 at its peak. For the last 3 weeks it has come down and is now reading 002. Is this normal or what.

anything below 7 is good for spot free drying.
edit
sorry, your asking if this is a normal process. Well not all water that comes from your tap will be the same tds - so expect fluctuations. Dont forget the speed at which water is filtered though media (whatever you use) also effects the filtration process.
Depending on your locality, tds will differ and so the higher the tds the quicker you will need to replace your membranes and resin.

Cheers for that, i just thought that when it started to rise it would carry on and not go back down.

Have you changed the filters on ur RO?

No, not changed anything since i got it second hand 6 months ago. I use 500 litres a week. How often should i be replacing things

Your not using a massive amount of water but probably need to backflush your system first to clear out your filters. To do this open your waste valve fulling so that all the water is going to waste and not into your tank, run it like this for 30 minutes.
Repeat this on a weekly basis to keep your filters clean. If this doesn't work then you'll probably need to replace your carbon and particulate filters, they're not that expensive.

What RO do you use mate?
I change my 10inch filters every 4-6 months & backflush every couple of days. Gariners sell them & they are
only about £20.
