We pay about £500 for an enhanced listing in two categories with a link to our website on each. We have had a few jobs out of it, more than from the book anyway. Probably just enough to cover the advert cost! However if your in yellow pages with a free linage ad they put you on yell.com for free anyway just your business name address and number. To be honest I would go with that option first and see how you go.

Having spoken to lots of commercial places about this, they generally either go on recommendations from other firms they deal with or they use the local trade and commerce directories. Seems to only really be domestic that use yellow pages.

Internet searches have officially overtaken directory searches now, less people will use YP and Thomson
in the future....and they know it !
