Normally at least 2 a year, but with wfp i have not heard of one for about 12 months

There have been at least 4 fatalities I can remember this year,... and obviously there'd be at least 10x that many serious injuries.

How many Trad cleaners then (just to compare)

There has been around 10 this year who fell off ladders and have left loved ones behind. This has been a big issue at the back of my mind where I will always want to be there for my family so my aim is 0 ladder work.

think metal pole/ water filled, carbon, power lines, very easy to believe :(

Ladder work is as safe as you make it,if your careless and rushing about of course you will fall, can be very safe if your not an idiot,as for over head power lines, just be carefull! ;)

Of the 4 I know of, 3 were trad and 1 was WFP who got the ladders off for 1 fussy customer, and then fell from the ladders.
I don't know of any wfp related fatalities,... all ladder related.
-
where can we get information like this on deaths and injuries relating to window cleaning?
It would be good to high light the dangers and stats of ladder usage on websites and literature.

Ladder injuries per % of ladder cleaning will go up i reckon as people become out of practice using wfp....maybe? Shows why you should drop fussy custys, they dont care about you !

Various posts on other forums.
The guy who used WFP and fell from ladders on the fussy customers house was a good friend of Scrimmans. There's a sticky thread on ACS entitled "Reasons to go WFP" with a couple of the other stories too.
I personally know 2 guys who have been seriously injured falling from ladders. 1 broke his back,.. the other shattered his leg in 13 places and destroyed his ankle,... he's lucky he's able to walk again, although he is in constant pain and has a serious limp now.
