Can anybody give me info about chewing gum removing.
The gum is on hard surface stone flags and tarmac.
1. Is it best to use a frezze spray if so which one
2. Is it best to use a jet washer
3. Or maybe try and hire a chewing gum remover
4. Also how much to charge per hour or per gum spot
Thanks Steve

freeze sprays are pretty much useless, best bet is to hire a chewing gum remover.

Give us some details. I work out the area and then measure five strict 1mx1m squares, from this you can work out roughly how many pieces in total. The best method depends on the situation, water supply, access to site, noise, containment etc. I have an osprey gum machine which is run off a generator on the trolley but can be used in a public place with no real grief, its slower but a little cheaper to run. What type of machine do you want to hire? hot washer or steam m/c

Hiya thanks for your reply. How much area would the machine you use cover in a day
does a jet washer leave spotting on the sufrace were chewing gum was.
At a rough guess the area that needs doing is about
60ft x 15ft and 2nd area is 20 ft x 15 ft and 3rd area is 80ft x 35ft please dont ask me what that is in sq meters.
Also i have a 1000 ltr ibc in back of my van with hot water maybe i could hook that up to a jet wash

Citrus gel is that ok to use on a hard surface because gum is on tarmac

Caint see why not as i used it on the the fairing on my bike as well :)
caint be 100% mind you but it makes it sticky again so easy to scrape off.
Might be woth a phone call to your local distributer ???

I don't think citrus gel is a viable option when considering any large area. Heat is the only real option be it water or steam

i think for an area that size it has to be a machine, you'd spend ages on your hands and kness spraying and scraping otherwise.
