hi all done a test to see how much water i produce i litre took 10 minutes but seem to have alot of waist water i have a 200 gpd its got 3 new filters in and cleaned the membranes out it is 18 months old any help please thanks andy

Sounds very slow, it takes me 30 seconds to produce 1 litre of water at 0.11ppm

the tap on the waste is stuck open. maybe.

I agree, check your flush valve.  Either that or your waste restrictor could have broken and is allowing too much waste out.  Another cause could be your membranes have become clogged and blocked up.

That's right then.  When you say you've cleaned the membranes out, do you mean you've cleaned the housings out or have you flushed the membranes?

I would say your membranes needed replacing then (like daveshaw said).

Yes, because the membrane surface will become blocked and clogged which will allow less water through (although it will still be fairly clean) which will have the effect of increasing the waste.

a couple of questions , its obvious you run a static system so ,,,,,,,, 1 where do you keep your ro (im not a thief ) 2 last week when temps dropped did you in anyway look after your ro .            as the weather gets colder you ro will produce less

we had the same problem 40/40 ro not making alot of water with loads of waste you need more pressure put a booster pump on it and then the flow valve turn to just over half way should make more water have you got a booster pump on it you need about 100psi going in hope that helped.

in a storgage box, insultated better than my house is where the 4040 goes, the other have a duvet all to itself (just do not tell my wife)
