its been on there a while, but i think the price has been redused.

does anybody use this product, as ive been using my new l5 heater this week and have noticed there is a fair bit of heat loss when the hose is pulled out over a long distance. any good or bad reviews.

I use the gardiners hose and it is really nice, never  ever kinks and when it comes up to full heat its a dream to work with.

Well worth the money, i expect it to last 18 months 2 years of hard work. ;D

I'm more concerned to know if the Thermobore resists swelling as it heats up.  There is heat loss with the Microbore, but I'm not a huge gush of water when the taps turned, and I'm certain its due to the hose swelling with the pressure as it softens - it certainly feels thicker after a hours hot cleaning.

So doe's the hot hose maintain its internal diameter up to a given temperature?

The ID is narrower and its a bit heavier than microbore. I looked at some at Varitech this afternoon.

Thermobore is good stuff, doesn't swell up. When it's new, it sticks together until the hose has been used for some time because it has a very smooth exterior unlike normal mini/micro hose. It's harder to reel in to start with because the hose is much stiffer with the third layer until it's been worn in through normal use.

Varitech's special mini/micro bore has a rubber inner layer which absorbs heat from the sun in the summer better than original hose but loses heat more than original stuff in winter from heat lossed through lying on the ground.
