Just got the 33" version
Any maintanace tips would be superb. Plus what will need replacing in time, and roughly how long.
Also, may sound a bit stupid but, as you get higher you extend more and more sections right.... Why not extend the pole from the base section upwards from time to time to prolong the life of the thinner sections above? Or is this the logical thing to do anyway?
Thanks
Rob

Just regularly wash the grit out from the pole and it will last a lot longer. If you extend the bottom rather than the top it will be too whippy.

wash the pole out as often as possible and no the pole won't be too whippy if you extend from the bottom, it will just be a little top heavy.
thats how I do it anyway.

I just adjust the lengths I extend sections throughout the day instead of to their max all the time unless ofcourse I have to, ie I will sometimes extend 4th and 5 th section and not fully extend the first 3 , thus they wont wear in anyone place too much. After 6 weeks of use with my 40 ft hybrid I've noticed the tape on the sections used as end stops have come off some sections (these are 10 " in from the end of each section ) I've marked the limit with black permanent marker so as not to over extend.
