Title: The Dangers of Using Protecta Balls
Post by: jeff1 on October 28, 2008, 03:59:30 pm
On this particular commercial Job they have a German Shepard, Today the owner was taking it for a walk, it seen my Tennis ball being dragged along the ground, so the dog dragged the customer along until the dog had the ball in its mouth, and there's me stuck in the van trying to reel the hose in and I thought it had caught on one of the car wheels.

I gets round the corner to be greeted by this, ''you try taking it out of his mouth'' Lol.

yep brilliant dogs....

i once turned up at a house...( in another job)..... same car as the householders mother....

she thought her mother had turned up... so opened the door, to let the german shepherd greet her...!!!

when the dog saw me , it lunged at me .....(or should i say lunched)

ripping my a4 board out of my hand whilst attempting to rip my throat out,... the owner was screaming whilst it dragged me around by my arm ,like a rag doll...

it bit her  in the process... turned back on me, sank its teeth deep into my leg , and once again  wanted to play dancing round the maypole..!!!!!.. needless to say i ended up in hopital after a few more little battles with the beast... it stood about 5 foot when it went for my throat.

so i really hate them dogs... and any  other.  :o

Like I say to customers, I am a coward around strange dogs but I am a coward who has never been bitten.

I'm a coward too around them but it didn't stop me getting a couple of bites down the years.  I realise that the violent dogs are in the minority but all owners say that their dogs are OK.  The two bites I got were from "OK" dogs so I learnt from that.  I've even turned work down if I felt uncomfortable around the dog.

I had a guy once continue telling me his dog was fine while the dog was sinking his teeth into my trouser leg. His wife wended up loosing her temper with him and shouting at him to get the dog out of the room.

German Shepards are fantastic dogs along with most other breeds...just training that is lacking...

I have a GSD and it is trained to Dutch Police standard (UK police dogs are not trained very well and are normally 'dumped' dogs. My dog will bite you upon command and will 'out' of command even in the heat of the moment...why..because he is trained and every day he is trained even if it is just to wait by a door so I go through first...training, training, training and loads of excecise.

Without the above...the dog will be a liability.

Dave.

do they really smell fear..?

ever since i was attacked .. i feel all dogs want a piece  >:(

i have a customer who leaves her labrodor outside in the garden all day.... the postman opens the gate , it never moves ... i do the same ... it jumps up and barks and runs at me.... i shut the gate and leg it.... they always ring to say can you come please i will make sure the dog is in the house.. and cant understand why i am bothered by it, as it loves everyone.... but me !!!!!
