Hi, My name is Eddie Conroy and I am just starting in the Gatwick area. I have just bought and am using a Sebo Dou for agitation of carpet shampoo that I spray on using a pump spray. Am I in danger of blowing the machine up!. I bought the machine from a reputable source when it was demonstrated on brushing in dry chemical and I was assured it would be OK for the shampoo. ???
Or is there another machine that I should be using.
Appreciate any advice
Regards

Hi Eddie
And welcome to our industry and these cleaning forums.
The Sebo Duo is a very popular tool for agitating pre-sprays. I have not heard of anyone having problems as you've described. In fact, I would suspect that there are more cleaners using the Duo in this way than there are using it for Dry Powder Cleaning.
Safe and happy cleaning :)

Ken,
Thanks for your reply and welcome to the industry. :)
I have been watching the forum for the last few weeks and am not surprised at the friendly welcome
Thanks

Eddie, when you say 'shampoo' do you mean a 'high foam shampoo' or just a pre-spray.
a duo would'nt be any good for airating a shampoo to create a foam, but if you are using the duo to aggitate a traffic lane pre-spray then you should'nt have a problem.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your time and response.
I have been using 'one step' which apparently acts as a microsplitter and does not foam, although I have some untried stock of Ashby's Supreme shampoo.
So presumably these will be ok?
I bought a number of chemicals in the starter kit, which I will check out for foam

Len,
You hit the spot and it doesn't quite hurt as much as when the penny dropped a week ago.
whilst a newbie, I have noticed Ken@'s, Mikes and your contributions to this forum and feel glad that you have taken the time to respond

The problem with newbie’s they know nothing and can be taken advantage off, that winds me up.

Eddie,
You don't have your location in your profile so no one can advise you of the best customer service available in your locality.
Take time to fill it in or add it like a signature as many do.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the advice,
I have just modified some details on my profile and will look at some other members profiles before modifying the signature.
I have learnt quite a lot in the last few hours spent on the forum so obviously will be looking in on regular basis
Thanks again

Don't know any suppliers at Horley but Amtech are about 30 minutes away near Burgess Hill and Bartons are at Molesley nr Hampton Court.
Both offer very good service and advice without ulterior motives ;D
ps......have used Duo to brush in Stapro Anti Grease on black top in pub with success.
pps...........remember having girlfriend, many years back, who lived at Horley Lodge West.................ahhhhh the good old days riding motorbike to Horley from Putney every Friday evening ( annoying every scooter riding mod along the way ::))

Thanks Chris,
I will be checking out Amtech when I am up at the Cleaning show on Wednesday. The hampton court address is probably too difficult to get to , so I may pass on that one.
There are dodgy women on the Court lodge estate in Horley(allegedly) hopr you kept your eyes to the front on the motorbike ;D

Horley Lodge is a large house that appears on map and her dad was an antiques dealer....................25 yrs ago and 17 is too young to be that dodgy ::)

Chris
Now that you mention it I have seen Horley Lodge on the map, never seen the house, although I believe that it less than 3/4mile from me. if it is where I think it is they often have Shire horses in the paddocks beside it.
My previous message was meant in banter and possibly I should have put a smiley on it
I hope you were not offended
