Title: Maybe another market?
Post by: ftp on October 26, 2008, 08:42:16 am
Had a different job yesterday: lady with limewashed walls that had gone green wanted them cleaned off.I had done them before with pure with  limited success. She did the research and came up with two cans of Dulux Weathersheild anti fungus solution. You just brush it on, leave for twenty four hours and rinse off. I used the van pump and microbore to apply it with a vikan sill brush - dead easy. Going back later to rinse down. It might take all the effort out of scrubbing to kill the algae chemically. She supplied the stuff so i don't know the cost of it. Might be a market for this?

I don't know. I've just come back from rinsing it down and there was no Algae to be seen at all even before i rinsed. I reckon it would be superb on patios and walls. Spec sheet was a bit daunting but they always are.  :o

Has it coated the inside of the hose so that its a bit like varnish that will crack latrer and block your jets ?

All looks good to me flushed everything straight after, flushed again today when i rinsed the property. Can't see it drying inside a hose really or the pump unless it was left for hours straight after. TDS 000

I did a post about cleaning the algae of walls a few months ago. I used a product called sandtex. The customer provided this and i mixed it up in a barrel and used the trolley.
I had to go back the next day to rinse off.
Came up a treat. Like a newly painted house again.
Was a good little earner too.  :)
