Another convert ;D

im sure you will find that it is a hit n miss chemical. dont get sucked in to the whole thing as others have done. Nemasis is basically the same as mpower but cheaper. give it a go.

Told ya ................... about results on carpets............... not about inane results on forums ::)
Nemesis is a similar ( different than 'basically the same') product that works, just that i prefer to do one pass not two ;)

Hi Bill
The best way to answer your question is to try it yourself - and that goes no matter what the product is.
Sure, their is value in listening to what your peers say about a product but you sometimes have to read between the lines to get a proper viewpoint.
ABILITY is obviously excited about a "new" product to him and thinks it is great. We have all probably tired something and either praised it or condemned it after just one usage.
Pureclean gets many rave reviews. I tried it and in my view got results worse then what I was already using. I could have shoved the tub to the back of the pile and forget about what it cost me. But I didnt - I used it again, albeit a bit later, and again, and got used to it - it does an adequate job FOR ME..
M-Power can take some time to adjust your technique - maybe ABILITY got it in one go - great for him. But it does work, borne out by the fact many of your fellow professional carpet cleaners have repeat orders for the stuff (including myself). No one does that if a product doesnt work! and lets face the truth, the final person who decides whether a good job has been done or not is the one paying the bill - your client.
Yes, they may put a smile on their face and pay you but its a very good job done if the client not only pays the bill, but gets you referals and then gives you repeat business. Many of your fellow professionals are finding that to be the case.
ABILITY got a "small" volume of the product sent him (enough for many room cleans) and has given it a go and then posted HIS findings on here for others to benefit. Hats off to him.
As for Formula 90 - I have some of the liquid F90 and find it OK. Can be used in large dilution rates ie 960-1 (if I remember right). You do need a defoamer though and so dont use it a great deal - but its still on my van and not at the back of the shelf in the house!

I would be interested to know what type and condition the carpet was in!!
and the only way to compare your new found wonder chem is clean same type of carpet using other chems, including cleaning an area with just water . You may get a surprise

;D ;D ;D
Dont think I,m allowed on there shaun ;)
geoff.
cant understand why :P
-
If I use it, I allow about half as much time again, plus make sure I have a lot of spotter onboard. ;)
However I have to admit, it's brilliant on clean carpets.
-
at what dilution did you mix your M Power? and how long did it dwell for? and did you aggitate the carpet
i too have had mixed results but keen to know more
i used pure clean mixed at half the dilution rate on top of what it says on the tub
agitated, left for ten mins and rinsed off
i was a really greasy kitchen carpet and suite but both came up excellent.
-
Chris, the one you sampled was the original Nemesis which is now discontinued.
All carpet cleaning products work. If they didn't nobody would buy them and the manufacturers wouldn't make them. Everyone has there favourites and Its amazing that what one person thinks is the dogs doo daa's another thinks is crap.

gwrightson , not been cleaned for 6-7 years but thats only what mgr said as she had never seen or herd it had been cleaned since she worked there: they hoovered with a HENRY so after my pre-vac i took half a carrier bag of loose soil ( TESCO ) .
Colin,pre-spray 1:100 ish !? Pile lifter to ag then 15 mins ish - at the last bit my machine became empty so just filled with cold water and got the same result.
Been back today to check and it looks great , even given £40 in Vouchers as a bonus and looking at her other shops on wed ;D ;D ;D ;D
Another job today at a rental prop: in a bad way, marks all over bedroom ( polyprop )
split the job in half . used my old stuff one half ( lots of passes to get it right )
Using MP (same method as 1st time= same result) . Stairs Landing (80/20) Drink spills on stairs (blackcurrent/Larger) same method as 1st time and same result. rebooked LL for next 3 years but thats nowt new cause most my custys are now in CP with me.
School 3 Classrooms and corridor tomor so could be the chance to try 3 mothods to see if it really is MP or just carpet not as bad as it looks but I doubt it .

Ability
If you like MPower you will love super Nemesis and I believe it's a lot cheaper and better support from the supplier.
-
John, I agree but these results, the time factor and the lil amount of chem used. ive been getting (upto now!) ACE results
NO Nick is not paying me to say this !!!
Trust me guys/gals if it aint in black n white and i aint seen with my owns eyes I would not belive , so ring Solutions ask nicely for a sample and do the job A-Z as it says on label .

-
Swiss who makes its ???
-
I don't know Ability and I'm too lazy to go have a look in the van.

years ago when M/S first came out we got lots of people making post like Ability has done about M-Power.
people were saying it was a miracle solution, that was the future of carpet cleaning it got the p#ss taken out of it big style!!, it turned out to be a good chemical but not the future of cleaning as promised.
but what I did find interesting was the fact that the big chemical companies took notice of it and (I think) felt so threatened they brought out there own version eg; Prochems Pure clean and Chemspecs DFC.
I wait with interest to see how threatened the big companies feel about the next big thing, cleaning solutions using colloid technology, will they bring out there own versions?
as for M-powers cleaning ability in the end if its any good it will prove its self, only time will tell ;)

Colloidal cleaners aren't new in fact I think they were invented in the 1930's. The latest ones came into mass production in the early 70's to deal with major oil spills on coastlines. They found out the detergents they had been using caused more damage than the oil. Of course there isn't a major oil spill every week so the manufacturers had to investigate further markets. Basically the same product can be used to clean any water cleanable surface using different dilutions.
Mike, I don't think it was fear of competition that has seen an increased range of these types of products from the major manufacturers, rather an increase in the number of large institutions and government bodies who are specifying "green" cleaning. A substantial part of their market is blue chip companies and large facilities management and contract cleaning companies. A lot of these are going over to these new products as they are being specified by their clients and also for reduced liablity reasons.
Also increased pressure from the EU who are currently testing every chemical in common use for safety. Already a whole range of different solvents and other chemicals have been banned. This process is going to take 10 years so theres likely to be a lot more that will be banned in the future.

I have used M power a few times. Yes it has on the odd occasion given good results but i have NEVER had the WOW fator from it. I can get better results from PC PureClean. Im not shy in trying new chems that come out & i will give my honest opinion in my findings. Some products on the market today like mpower/super nemasis may be greener than other chems BUT i dont find they can live upto the job that convention chems do.
Richie.
