With all the recent topics in relation to websites, I thought I would post a website that can make mini websites for about £50 ($90).
Yes it's american, but in terms of website construction it's completely irrelevant. For this measly $90 you get a custom built header and footer and even one or two other bits thrown in.
I dont know what they are like because I do my own sites, but I have just ordered a banner to be constructed - for a different project of mine (I can make them but they are not top professional!), for a good price of £11. You can even get a big header picture done for your own website to make it look more professional.

Not that anyone is interested ::) but I just had the banner returned to me today and it is amazing quality, the total cost was £11. ;D
Highly recommend, and if the quality is that good then their website design must also be good.

Got website address for banner myself 8)

You'll be pleased with it Chris ;)

Kev,
I've learned to do them myself with a decent graphics programme. first one took best part of a day! Now they take about half an hour.
At £ 11, you can hardly justify doing your own. The other thing is that one good header can transform a site, so there's no excuse now for dodgy looking sites. Good find

Your right Gary, it's so cost effective this way that everyone can have a great looking site. It's so difficult doing gif banners DIY, I've done one or 2 myself but now I know that for a couple of quid it's job done. No brainer really.
What graphics programme do you use Gary?

Nice one Kev
I'm gonna have a go with this, will post the results.

I use Photoimpact X3. It's a an upgrade (about £40) from the free programme Photoimpact 11, that came with the hosting package. It's supposed to be positioned between photoshop elements and photoshop full version.

I'm just (maybe) getting the hang of 3-d. Eg.....

LOL Thats pretty darn precise! Wouldn't they be tempted to get their stopwatch out? :P Nice banner though Gary.

I think I saw Brian Philibin use that, it's a marketing rechnique especially with the 7 at the end.

Guys,
About the graphics....
I've just looked back through some older programmes.
I've just done the same banner in Ulead (now Corel) Photoimpact 6. that cost me £ 5.99 from Aldi (complete with detailed manual). You just use layers.
The upgrades on my latest version X3, seems to be mostly for digital photo manipulation. If you want to do stuff like the banner above, you only need to spend a fiver.
Where I've got the coloured background you can just as easily have photo's (single or collage).
As for the 47 minutes... it can range between twenty to forty depending on conditions (dry fusion combined with turbo dryers). Dry Fusion say half an hour. The extra was tagged on to cover us. We used to say 30 mins but many people did not believe it. The only person ever to challenge the time was a friend ( no customers up to now .. I guess that's asking for trouble!).
