Title: Flippin nightmare !
Post by: M.Acorn on October 23, 2008, 06:20:47 pm
My soloution hose burst on me today ! have recently bought a new stair tool ,with the connector that sticks out at an angle to the side, was using it today and looked at the hose ,and thought to myself, that looks like it will need a new end soon.Finnished the stairs, started on the lounge,4 or 5 passes later and POP ,not only did it burst ,but i think it had been leaking into the outer jacket for a while, the stuff that came out was black, went everywhere, walls ,ceiling ,carpet, door,me ! managed to get it off everything, looked like it was not long since it was painted,so just as well ! and thank $£@# i am not using a truck mount with 500psi and very hot !
Roll on Sat,off for a week in the cold  ;D

exacty the same happened to me on tuesday,
right next to the trigger valve on my floor wand, and hot is was :)  all over the top of my leg . fortunatly i was almost finished and was next to front door so not such a mess, although what did come out was black and some wiping down of paintwork was required.

it always goes next the wand or handtool, I suppose this point get the most flexing so becomes weakened, swop the Q/C around so the hose runs the other way will help.
