Been asked to quote for some static caravans on the Northeast coast. Deep clean prior to start of season then cleans between holiday makers. Have successfully completed cleans between tenents in domestic and commercial situations previously but (yes I know the big BUT) I have know idea the state the caravans will be left in, so have no idea how many cleaning hours to allowcate for each clean. Any help with the details of this work would be most helpful.

not that i have any experience here, but I do know that the cleaners that clean the caravans down here in the south west are paid more than those that do domestic cleaning, by at least £1.00

Hi
The way I would approach this is work out a price for a basic clean and then a price for cleaning if the caravan was left really dirty. Add together and divide by two to get your average cleaning price per caravan. I should imagine most people will leave them in a state inbetween and there will be more to clean at 'basic' than at 'really dirty'.
The caravan site will be able to give figures of turnaround so you will then be able to allocate specific hours to the cleaners, the hard part then is getting the cleaners to understand that they have x amount of hours to clean x amount of caravans to a certain standard regardless of the mess they are in! The time should even out most days but for days you are running over there should be days you also run under.
This is not an easy quotation to get right and I hope the above is understandable! ;D Possibly speak with the management about the problems that may arise (they will already be fully aware) and suggest a review after a certain period of time for adjustments if needed.

You could be cheeky and ask the caravan management for the prices they were paying last season...just to give you an idea of what to charge of course!!
Might work??
We asked a surveyor how much they were looking to pay for builders cleans etc...and he told us!! Think it was his first week as it doesn't work normally.

Make sure you do not get your fingers burnt may include the exterior, you need to quantify with the customer, also keep the rh down look at what they are made of! ;D
