I think it looks good. certainly punchy, and the pink should attract the ladies.
I like the photograph, and will copy your set up for a new photo of me and my van.
I would have " High Quality Carpet, upholstery and leather cleaning".,
Dont like the word dear, but just me.
As you have a TM, how about "all furnishings virtually dry as I leave!"
Ben
PS:- How much for the young lady? :o ;D
( Joe Polish says everybody read a PS:- )
-
that young lady is my wife so she's not for sale. not yet anyway ;D
take your point on the "dear" word.
what could i change it to?
and we don't charge the earth?
expensive?
don't like joe polish or his methods but thats just my opinion.
anyway glad ya like it, give ya a good feel factor when someone comments lke that, all though the proof is in the pudding. fingers crossed, goes out beginning of november.

yea nice leaflet Derek - professional and to the point.
Like Benny I also don't like the word "dear" - I drive my fiance crazy everytime I correct her telling her it's expensive not dear.
Steve
-
Likewise with the "dear". Also, generally, you're filtering off a certain proportion of prospects by focusing on price and implying you're cheap, some people want to pay more because they think it gets them a better job.
You photoshopped the boy out of it! If only life were that simple :)
-
no jim
ive got a few different photos.
we thought about having joel in but decided against it.
don't agree we're implying we're cheap, but not gonna argue about it, we're high quality cleaners at an affordable price, thats the message we're trying to get across and hopefully we'll achieve it with a few tweaks here and there.

What Market segment are you going for.
I think you have limited yourself in years to come.
You have invested your fotune in van and equipment you need to get as high as pice as you can for your work.
I realise the word affordable is relitive and one of those meaningless marketing words and when people see your van maybee you upsell
So basicaly you are bait and switch in a nice way ;D ;D
-
ian
my market is everybody
i give confidence to the poor that its worth paying a bit more and i save the posh people a few quid while giving them belief that i'll do a high quality job.
i'll agree that i have limited myself in the future as i'll never be able to charge top whack, but to be honest if i can eventually fill my books, (plan being i will in 3 years time) then i'll be more than happy with my wages.
this ad is for the poor to medium and i have one a bit more professional for the toffs.
thanks for your comments, all taken on board.

Good luck with them Derek I am sure it will work for you as it is a nice leaflet!!
-
Good luck with the delivering.
I have just done one and a half hours posting, and it felt like 10 hours!
You never know though, as I have just done a job from a leaflet I delivered after going to the dentist a couple of weeks ago.
Not a fortune, but it all helps :)
-
Hi
If your we're high quality cleaners at an affordable price
why not just use that phrase ?
Dave
-
Derek,
I appreciate why you removed the picture of your lad.
What was the thinking behind changing from the one you posted recently? How did your test for that one go?
Garry
-
You photoshopped the boy out of it! If only life were that simple :)
Im sure that pic had his little kid in it :) wow nice piece of editing :P
-

Just put out 20 leaflets today and that was the next few houses to were i was working.
Must say i dont like doing them :(
-
Like the leaflet alot but i would take " we are not as dear as you think" completely out simply because you state on the leaflet you are high quality and affordable. Which are probably what most customers are looking for a quality service at an affordable price. Dear is a word which will frighten potential customers off from enquiring particularly in the current climate.
cheers Mark
-
What about
Price and Quality Guarantee
If you can find the same quality at a cheaper price I will match that quote"
Lets face you can't, it's impossible until after the event.
Shaun
-
correction mark me old china.
not as dear as you "might" think.
high quality affordable. not high quality and cheaper than a man with a hose and a stetson.
but!
if you read it like that then maybe youve got a point. so i'll monitor it and if i feel i can improve i may just alter it to your liking. as the sayings goes
proof is in the pudding
dont count me chckens until they hatch
a bird with a bush aint worth 2 shaven ravens on each hand. or something like that.

Hi
Dont most people think Carpet cleaning is affordable.
Dave
-
that depends if you can afford it or not dave?
derek
-
ive read all the critics Guys/gals and derek is new to this industry (as im I ish !!)
Rather than cut to bits a mans work :o I would of thought to encourage and Guide would be more to the
Idea of what this forum is all about .
any way I its eye catching and the thats the idea ........if you look at a piece of ADD for more than 15 sec
you will ring, if ur in the market !!
you wil ring if your not in the market as long as there is a dam GOOD reason to pursue...... ie......

Hi
What i ment was, that most people that dont have them cleaned, do so because
"they dont think they need cleaning"
"the last guy left it soaking wet"
"last time it got dirty again quickly"
"the last one didnt get the stains out"
or some other reason.
Dave
-
i think it looks gay bit like how u look pmsl
-

I think Shaun Ashmore has a similar piccy of himself on the side of his van in the same pose.
Shaun - I was in Sheffield all last week - would that be you on Wednesday morning about 10.30 am near the Chapeltown / M1 interchange (going toward Chapeltown) ??

Hi Derek,
Sorry if you got the impression i was critical for the sake of it, actually like the leaflet alot just didn't agree with the one phrase. A good thing about the bright colour scheme is that when the leaflet is sitting on someones doormat theirs eyes are immediately drawn to it rather than letters/bills etc it will be laying their with.
Cheers Mark.
-
no worries mark, its all constructive. your right about it standing out, just got one of the magazines its going in this morning, stands out like a sore thumb, fingers crossed it does the biz along with the leaflets.
and like i said, no worries about the comments, it all helps.

-
Joe what is the deep ???
Hi Clinton - here is a copy/paste from their web site ..... google The Deep
Welcome to The Deep, one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world. This award-winning Yorkshire family attraction is home to 40 sharks and over 3,500 fish. The dramatic building designed by Sir Terry Farrell is located in Hull on the Humber Estuary, just an hour from York. The Deep is operated as a charity dedicated to increasing enjoyment and understanding of the world's oceans.
-
Cheers joe
Sounds a good day out :)
Hope its beter than blue planet...
-
The Deep is fantastic first time around - as long as you don't go there expecting it to be like Alton Towers or Disney Land. It's a big tank full of fish, but they make it as interesting as a big tank full of fish can be!
I must have been there 5 times now, it's kind of become a tradition, just like shouting "BRIDGE!!!!" as we come round that bend on the A15 and see it :)
Got a friend runs one of the bars in the centre, we get up there normally a few times a year. God knows how we get back :D
(I'm not ginger, work the rest out for yourself :P )
-
looks like jims the one who's not put deoderant on and the other 2 are feeling the effects. ;D ;D ;D ;D
sorry jim, only joking, well obviously as i cant smell the photo.
derek
-
Don't worry Derek, the fish smell was covering up the B.O. ;D ;D
-
What bar doe,s your friend run Jim?
when you visit the deep next , take a walk round the old town and see if you can find the smallest window in the world.
very unusual :)
Geoff
-
lol ok I'll take a peep :)
Biarritz, on George St. Just ask for The Greek ;)
-
Biaritz ,
