I looked at a job on Thursday, the women wanted her lounge carpet and two bedroom carpets cleaned plus three chairs, as we were talking she mention her stone floor that needs cleaning i said i could do this and she said she would speak to me at a later date about this. Anyway quoted £150.00 to clean carpets and chairs which she excepted, so i did the them yesterday but she was out for the day, got a call last night really pleased with carpets etc but said why didn't you do the stone floor, i said that was not in the price....oh yes it is she said i would not of excepted the quote if that was for the carpets and chairs...and she wont pay until i clean her stone floor...Should of written down exactly what i was going to do, as it was only a verbal quote..lesson to be learnt here me thinks.

Tell her you are sorry for the confusion and is it ok if you return her 'soil' sometime in the week 8) Should fit through the letter box..

I always offer a menu quotation so that the prospect can see what costs what, and any confusion is removed.
This was brought about because of a similar experience as Sherco's.
Safe and happy quoting :)

To scrub with rotary scrubber and clean with wet vac, go back next day to reseal when its dry, probably about 6 hrs work in total.

easy option might be to knock her £30 or £40 quid off as a compromise.
just an option to lighten the stress.
think thats what i'd do,
and obviously take procedures so it don't happen again.
derek

I would do the same as well mate and see what she says, just put it down to a lesson learnt :)

Balls to that, she's yanking your chain mate, who would expect that much work for that price?
Forget the floor, you're not going to get it in all honesty...
Let the 150 stand for what you've done, if she doesn't pay make a claim through www.moneyclaim.gov.uk. Soon as she receives the initial paperwork she'll pay.
But for god's sake get things written down from now on!!!!!
