I've been searching your old posts for half the night looking for a "Price increase" letter you posted about 6 weeks back that I thought was absolutely brilliant, the wording was just spot on.
I can't find it,.... any chance you'd post it again?   Please? :)

Due to rising fuel costs over the last few months, introduced health and safety measures, besides general inflation, as of next month I am forced to increase your window cleaning from :-

I have not raised my prices for X years but can no longer absorb these costs any longer. I do hope you understand.

With effect of the (insert date), our charges will increase from £X per month to £X per month.

We do not like to increase our charges, the last price increase we did was two-years-ago, but for us to maintain a viable business this is necessary.

Or words to that effect.  I wouldn't mention anything about fuel price increases, inflation, the stock market, the retail price index; nothing.
