Title: To all the gutter vac users.
Post by: andrewwebb1 on October 15, 2008, 05:52:01 pm
Thinking of investing in a gutter vac for the domestic market mainly.
Couple of questions to those that already have one.

1) How easy do you find it to get customers and what do you find is the best way to market this service.

2) What is the average price you could charge for say a 3 bed semi or a 4 bed detached house and how long roughly would either of these types of property take to do.

Many thanks,

Andy...

you dont say if your a window cleaner or not but if you are there is your customer base, if your not leaflets and word of mouth will work...

Thanks for the reply. Yes I am a window cleaner. The job you did today was it just to vacuum the gutters or did it include cleaning the outside of the gutters as well.

Many Thanks,

Andy...

just to vacuum the gutters, they were pretty full but with the gutter vac it was pretty easy.

Do you use a generator or use the customers power and did you buy the omni vac.

There are a few topics on this, that are quite recent already so you may find that not many answer this again so soon.

As most have already (like myself) in those topics.

Andy...

i used the customers power today but i do have a geni.

yes i have the ominvac for me it was the best option, it works straight out of the box, they give good backup, free full colour advertising postcards, and a lots of free advice.

if you have lots of time on your hands then you can try the diy route. but in my opinion i would not. you will pick up lots of work, i have i bought the vac and camera system it cost £3000 ish.  i took a couple of months to get used to it. but now iam flying. ive spent the last three mornings just doing camera work for a local business. i charged £450 for about 9 hours work.
