For the past few weeks iv`e been picking up red rubber bands on my domestic work and have now built up quite a collection,
this must be happening in other places surely
it must be costing Royal mail a fortune having those dozey postmen dropping them everwhere ;D

those elastic bands are designed to degrade apparently. No wonder they are crap compared to office elastic bands :P
Although what gets me, is if your caught littering your fined, in some areas/councils so why aren't they?

Wrap a couple around you pole base section as they stop water running down your arms.

If they are as biodegradable as the PO say's, I wonder why there are some on the window ledge in my shed that have been there nearly three years?

I've collected 100s and 100s over the years. I bag them up into packs of 50 and flog them to my custies for 35p...it's a nice little side-line ;D

Bit of useless information for you?
Just watching How its made on sky TV and low and behold rubber bands came on.
The post office use 342million of them each year, they were originally designed and used to stop the postman loosing the letters when they were being chased around by dogs ;D
