only on commercial, dont reckon youd have a good response on sundays from private .
-
We have done sundays a few times in the past, really just to catch up if we have had bad weather that week. Never had any complaints, most of them were just glad to see us.
-
Round here in the commuter belt of London many houses are empty all day and want their windows cleaned at weekends
-
We've only ever done commercial work on a Sunday to catch up.
We did try a Sunday for residential work last summer but it felt odd somehow.
Maybe it's because the place fills up with tourists during summer and Sunday is a 'laid back and easy' day around here.
-
I have done domestic work many years ago on a sunday, no complaints then. But Mon - Friday is enough now.
-
Monday to Friday with the odd Saturday thrown in when getting behind. Found Saturdays to be the best days for getting new business. Never cleaned windows on a Sunday but have cleaned commercial carpets many times on Sundays
-
Commercial work some Sundays, residential never! How about some respect for your customers!?

never have worked a weekend even when behind in 17yrs, but would do a saturday if was desperate ???

Im sorry respect?
I am presuming you have been a window cleaner a long long time?
Or youve cleaned on a sunday and got told where to go?
I have cleaned on sundays but only when asked should i say to that customer show some bxxxxy respect i dont work sundays?
If you have something constructive so tell me please do so but dont YOU DARE tell me i dont respect my customers.
Sorry but youve contradicted yourself a little.
You clean commercial but not residential on a sunday?
So do you only respect your commercial clients?
You cant be a nfmwgc member as there rule book states that EVERY customers is the same not give preference to commercial and not residential.
-
Being asked is one thing, but would you want some hairy a****d pillock up at your windows on a Sunday morning!! I wouldn't! Surely you earn enough during the week mate?!
Jake
-
Sorry Jake but i dont class my self as a hairy axx pillock.
I put this topic up for window cleaners to put their feedback on not for a one man slanging match.
Also its not the money side of it.
Ive got 120 houses i cant get done waht do you do employ someone to do it?
Done that dosent work.
Sub contract it out?
Done that lost more customers than its worth
So the only option is to give them up?
Great way to expand your business by lossing customers who you cant get to.

You asked for peoples opinions on working Sundays, I gave you mine, and you seemed to take offence, why post in the first place? For the record, the commercial work we occasionally do on a Sunday, the properties are empty for the weekend.
Regards .......Jake

Stick to comments that are relevant and unlikely to cause offense, and you'll find there'll be no problem.

Yes sorry jake i did ask for opinions....not insults
-
Sometimes, for some people, their opinion can seem the same as an insult. ;D
-
I might have sounded a bit blunt, but I never intended to insult any one, sorry I caused offence. :)
Regards.....Jake

I have never had to work on a Sunday but if I have to catch up on residential on a Saturday I just clear it with the customers prior and start at about 10 am. So I guess some wouldn't mind you doing that on a Sunday either.
-
r u kidding!sundays 4 t in bed plus extras-big ole cooked brekkie.ye haaaa1 ;)
-
Roo! 40 in bed! I'm shocked! :o
-
i used to clean an area about 15 years ago ,every second sunday
had about 20 customers who were just delighted to get their windows cleaned
-
At least you can often get paid on the spot and get the back gate opened!
-
You could fill your book very easily with weekend work if you want to do it.
The big problem round here is that most houses are empty all day during the week and because they are a lot more security concious access is limited.
A lot of people want to watch you clean their windows ( or at least know that you really have been).
The point is who wants it?
-
Sorry guys, but if you need to work sundays your doing somthing wrong.
I've never worked sunday we finish 1pm fri and thats it!!
You may need to work in the drizzle, or charge more. Sundays definately for the "beer and fAg" brigade.
