How much does an ro cost to run per mth roughly produceing 1000 l a day.

Depends on your initial tds.
If low membrane could last 4yrs or more if looked after, if high could last 1-2 yrs also you need to factor in the pre-filters changed roughly every 6 mths as you must have carbon pre-filter to safeguard the membrane against chlorine, also if water pressure is low then you may need a booster pump and there's the leccy to run it, and last but not least there is the cost of the water if you are on a meter as the rejection rate maybe 1 to 1 or as much as 4-1.

Iv`e been running a Merlin for 4 years cost me about £300 then (cheaper now),
produces 100L an hour,never had to replace anything on it yet ,just the resin ;)

You mean you have never! changed any of the filters :o. Well, it makes you wonder if we are having the wool pulled over our eyes by the peeps that say the membrane will be fooked by the presence of chlorine. Would not fancy trying it tho' as it would be an expensive do if it did.

what is your tds in and out before going through resin? 8) Syd

some of the water authorities don't chlorinate the water, or at least not as heavily.
you can always ring your local water authority and ask them.
