I've just typed a lengthy 'tongue in cheek' post about the Welsh, in Duke's 'Odd...' thread, but for some reason it's not there and I've had the choice to reply to Duke's thread removed. I must admit the post I posted wasn't purely original, as I plaguarised it from a book I've read. It wasn't too offensive either - just a bit of fun.
Is there a reason for this? It wasn't racialist - apart from I gave the Welsh a ribbing - which I've done before and will continue to do; since I live in Wales. I've also had a ribbing for being a Geordie; it's only a bit of fun!
If a post is deleted, shouldn't we be informed why, as they do in other forums?

Its important that we keep the discussion professional and avoid things, however well intentioned, that may cause offense.
Occasionally members are told why their posts have been removed, but the admin and moderators are under no obligation to do so.
Other forums have the right to adopt their own policies, and that is their responsibility.
Joking is fine in small doses, but this is a cleaning forum, the purpose of which is an interchange of information regarding the cleaning industry.
Stick to comments that are relevant and unlikely to cause offense, and you'll find there'll be no problem.
