Title: Hydramaster Day Trip
Post by: mark shannon on October 03, 2008, 09:47:42 pm
Flew down to HM yesterday at 645 am for a demo of 318, little weary after a night up with my little boy who decided to have nightmares .

Must say Johns a lesson on how to run a business. Look i know he needs to move machines but he spent the whole day with me giving hands on demos of all their suburb kit. Took me out on a job that his wife was doing with her Pink 318 , set the whole thing up again on our return to factory for demos of Drimaster and the excellent RX20 (NOW I UNDERSTAND WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT)

Glad i was knacker-ed as it imuned me slightly to his 90mph sprints through the Cornish lanes in his LWB sprinter  that guy can drive.
Breakfast Pasties and fish and chips at Johns place in the evening before a high speed lift to Newquay airport for 8 PM flight home.

Look i never bought the 318 and van, but i will  if i can crunch the numbers over the next week or two,  but even if i wait HM will be first choice when i decide to buy.

If only all distributors had the same hands on passion for our industry, and a reminder for me in how i should treat my own custys.

Thanks to all at HM.

MARK

PS  On the downside John doesnt like giving discounts but the 318 van package is a fair deal BUT I WILL KEEP TRYING   :)

Listen

I'm a Yorkshireman and I have bought 2 machines off Gotty, nuff said.

Shaun

PS look at the 318 cost, imagine someone saying to you can I have a discount off a minimum charge, there's only so much you can give on a smaller machine as the profit on a bigger one may give you some leverage.

Buying a machine now will give you your discount with the extra job per day (at least) up to Xmas.

Don't look at the cost, look at the monthly figure and you will make double that amount from now to Xmas and then that will have paid for the next 3 months free of charge.

Whichever way you do the Maths I think you know that you are at the stage to buy a TM which ever one you decide on.

Shaun's right, John is a true gent and values you as a customer. As for the Hydramaster gear.....
totally top notch, it will be the best investment you will make in the carpet cleaning business.

I really don't know why I wasted so much time with our portables.

Mark,

Just do it.!

Are you really going to decide to stick with porties after all this emotional effort you have put into finding a TM. I think not. Sounds like Hydramaster have looked after you well and deserve your business. Go on treat yourself for Christmas. ;D

I have just brought a 318 from john and its a beauty of a machine. The power and heat is amazing and its a tidy machine. The service i got from John was amazing and im well pleased. Have started to use their chemcals and wont really go nowhere else now. To be honest they are all so friendly at hydramaster and it shows with their customer support.

he who dares mark.
its not really about how much it costs, its about what you make with it, the extra work you can do and the ease at which you can do it. ive never used a porty but to be honest i admire the guys that do, all that lugging of machinery, filling then emptyng, faux that for a game of soldiers, plug the pipe in to the fresh tank, go have a brew then come back turn it off, get to job, run pipes straight into house, clean, pack away, then pull up to the nearest toilet drain and empty, at the end of the day, clean your filters and fill up ready for the next. piece of pizza.
do it mate, ya know ya want to.

Virtually all organisations will try to "woo" you in order to make a sale, but HydraMaster have the reputation of welcoming you into their family and by following up with commitment and service afterwards.

Even forgetting all that's been said here already, it is my opinion as a porty user that the 318 is a BIG step up in the world of entry level Truckmounts. From what I've seen of the few starter TM's I've played with, the 318 is closer to a mid-range performer.

And finally, Pink Is Cool 8)

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Somebody has probably already done it. But I would have a green one and call it 'The Green machine' and put it on all my eco ads. (LPG converted of course)

Yes, it has been done before, about 15 years ago, but it was and I think still is, just a toy, made by toymakers Bex Bissell !

I remember that it was sold on QVC also and was quite a revolution as it was to my knowledge the only machine that had 2 water tanks, 1 to hold water and solution the other to hold water to rinse with.

I think they advertised it as the big green cleaning machine.

I think they still make a newer version, but I don't think it's a patch on the Rug Doctor, or George, or Puzzi 100. Doesn't even come with a carpet wand !!! ;D

Mark

Sounds like you had a good day mate.

So looks like you are going to go for a new set up rather than a used one ???

You could spread the deal over a few years i guess ???
