Title: Battery

having a mare with system at the moment and narrowing problem down to the charge off split relay.I am going to buy a battery to keep me going for the next few days whilst problems are sorted but was wondering what is the minimum power i need to run a 100psi pump on i.e amps etc.Any ideas chaps?

If you don't do a lot of driving between Jobs, then don't rely on your split charge relay, it won't put back enough charge and your battery won't last you long.
Remove your battery for a bench charge every day and charge it over night, then I bet you will get a few years use from it.

What make is your system, there was one company who didn't have the best split charge relay.

An over night charge is ample for your battery, no need for another battery.
What sort of charger did you buy?

Is it an automatic one? there the best to have but cost around £35/40 from Halfords, you could go on holiday for a couple of weeks and still leave your battery on charge.

Split relay done my head in this last few days,if i was technically minded i would of stripped it down and tried to sort it but for what its cost for battery n charger im back poling in the morning and if anything goes wrong now its easily sorted.

Like I said, if you don't do the mileage between Jobs then your battery won't get a decent charge, I'm an x electronics engineer but can't be bothered with all this fannying around, its much quicker and more reliable, to just bench charge it every night, only takes a minute or two in the evenings and mornings.
