Decided to post a small review of the said brush now that I've used it for long enough to give a true evaluation & hope it may help anyone. ;)
I've tried many brushes in the last 4.5 years wfp & a few "light" ones too- various salmons etc. But never found a light brush that suited wfp, or at least my technique. For me, weight has never come before performance/usability where wfp brushes are concerned, so I have used rectangular vikans as my main brushes for quite a while now.
Upon receipt of the brush my innitial thought was that the bristles looked a bit sparse & almost decided (before even fitting it) that it wasn't going to suit me!
Well I thought, it's been designed from scratch for wfp, I'll give it a try. How glad I am that I did! :D How wrong my innitial thoughts were :o
This brush is realy light ( I'm using an slx ) & it complements this pole greatley. After using vikans it feels like there's no brush on the end at all! I don't clean any top frame & so need a brush that keeps it's shape well, to be very controllable & accurate. The sl-dt does all three extremely well. It's also very efficient, by that I mean it cleans superbly with very little effort or pressure- a big relief for my arms at the end of the day! I've never used a dual trim brush before & to be honest, never realised the point of them, untill now ;D The shorter, stubby, inner bristles make light work of baked-on bird poo etc & are a big asset to the user in these situations. The tension of the outer bristles is spot on too, an excellent, controllable splay is easily achieved whenever needed. It gets right into corners with ease, even up under sash windows which is a big plus for me as I have many sash windows on my round. The jets are placed very well to give a full flow through the bristles, right to the edges of the brush when on glass (nothing worse IMO than jets placed just either side of the centre). It's a good size too, roughly the size (length) of a rectangular vikan (approx 10/11" I think without checking). It took me a couple of days to re-train my brain & realise that I didn't have to press on hard & scrub like mad with this brush, infact, just the opposite is required most of the time. At last, a readily available light brush that works!
So, all in all, I love this brush, it realy does cut the mustard at the business end & is now my main weapon of choice. It's been one of those moments when you suddenley think- how did I manage without it before? ;D It's saved me considerable time on some jobs & made each day much, much easier. I would recommend this brush to anyone, top product. ;)

Used mine on and off for a couple of weeks losing bristles today so not as happy as you ??? Also no good for really dirty windows no scrub power

Looking to get one for my new carbon pole when i get it. Currently using a hard double trim brush, but a light weight softer one would be easier for regular cleaning, rather than one off much dirt clean u need a harder one for.
@ tatman - i'd ask for a replacement, products like these are supposed to be of a commercial standard and last longer than a few weeks!

yea think ill ring alex as a complete section of bristles fell off today :'( Only had a few hours worth of cleaning with it? Had my ionics for nearly a year never lost a bristle

Sounds like a faulty stapled in bristle tuft. If it's a fault we will happily replace it for you.

Im looking at these bushes at the moment might get one as everyone seems to say there good.
At the moment i use the green unger brush 11inch, the superlite brush which one is best to buy as i belive there is 2?

Dual trim not the single trim. Single trim is ok but doesnt remove deposits so well in my opinion.

An excellent review and very similar to my experiences. I am really impressed with the dual trim. It is also most excellent with hot wfp.

yes the super-lite brush is REALLY good, but i put my Tucker back on my sl-x today WOW, its such a good brush. Its in a league of its own, but I really wish it was lighter, Luke

So is this the new Superlite Dual trim version 1.2? With the improved bristle design?
I feel that the first one (not the Bentley, but the first SL-DT) lacks scrubbing power, definitely on first cleans, and on some muck on the windows, like insect droppings, even with snail trails, it doesn't cut it that well. I am very happy with the weight, and normal glass cleaning, but it's not as good as it could be on more stubborn dirt, ie. it takes quite a lot of scrubbing, and even then some muck is difficult. Apparently this is not the case with the improved Dual trim.

My sentiments too. I used it on th sl-x to do a minging doctors surgery last week, dark stained wooden windows in need of painting, it hadn't been cleaned for at least 5 years! thick dust and cobwebs every where but it all came up brilliant. i just did all the windows twice. They were well impressed, as was i ! It will be a doddle next month ;D Syd

Alex what is the main difference between the original and new version of dt brushes..both in looks and performance?...or anyone who has used both for a period og time.

What was the weight again? (You never got back to us on that one lol)
I'm seriously thinking of getting one, so you still rate the Tucker as number one?

We are closer to bringing out a flocked bristled version but how close would be telling :D.
It could be as soon as seven weeks' time.

i had some time on my hands today to do some tests between the single trim an double trim, first was the amount of pressure needed to get a good finish, the single trim seem to need less pressure, but if the angle is changed the single trim needs less, second test was snail trails in this test the single trim out performed the double trim by a long way, dried on bird crap was next i tried both brushes on this they both seemed to preform the same with a pre soak, i still like the single trim better for me but it seems there is a place for both brushes. also as for there weight well aint nothing wrong there at all.

well cheers Alex got my new brush today as you promised and will send old back ;D What can i say looks a much better brush alot more bristles and a bit stiffer looks and feels more like the tucker a bit difference from the first one. Will let you all know how i rate it. and cheers

I received the new single trim today to replace the one I killed in a week - I will test it to destruction with the hot wfp and let you know the results - Thank you ;)
