Customer wants a building cleaned , downstairs windows behind a mesh 1inch square standing about 2inches off the glass, asked if he or i could remove the mesh but thats a no no, is there a magic way of cleaning these windows ? ie extra long bristles on brush , jetwash etc and whats the finish like ? or am i wasting my time ?

forget it mate, i have done window behind bars and thats bad enough, but shy of power washing them with pure water, dont see how you could do it??

Can you push the brush up from underneath, or if it's a worthwhile contract make a "special brush" yourself - it could get you and keep you the contract.

If i was you why not lightly power wash it ,then once all the dirt is gone only use the 8mm hose not connected to the brush and poke it through the gape in the mesh and rinse with pure waterthe glass only.
price high for messing about mind

Could use a 6 or 9 inch brush like Tuckers. I've got a custie who has every window covered with grills. I can get in between each grill with a 9 inch brush head and a swivel fitted to the brush. It takes longer trying to clean these windows so I charge treble what I normally would so it's worth it for the time involved.

I wouldn't touch it with WFP, the dirt on the mesh would contaminate the finish.

i tell him to take the mesh off if he wants them cleaning

Totally agree,I have one with security bars on the lower levels,my brush can fit through just about and my mop/squeegee etc. but is alot of hassle,so I say take them off if you want them doing,I don't want to be arkward but it makes my life easier, why struggle,I only do them on a 8 weekly basis but I do ring a few days before I come ;)
............been doing them for 6 months now but can see them getting fed up and getting someone else ;D

your best bet is a tucker as the bristles are so long, a full trim one, Luke
