I never gave stamped address envelopes out, just a slip saying that " your windows have been cleaned today, please send cheque.... blah blah....
now i have printed lots of addressed envelopes off and plan to give them out, without stamps....
to speed up the time i wait for cheques coming in...
but my question is .. does it speed up...? how many do you waste when having to call back as envelope not used?
what are your experiences,
thanks.

If you want it speeded up then put stamps on them....... or even put pay online details on them, thats what we do & it works.
Mind you, you will always without doubt get custies who will delay, its just one of those things... ;)

where does your online details go.... i have a few who pay online ,,, but i find it a struggle to find names from statement etc.... wish they would have addresses on :(
-
No stamps or envelopes here - but for my payment slips I now use bright coloured flourescent paper yellow/orange/green. (I print 3 to an A4 sheet and guillotine them.)
This stands out among their post on the kitchen worktop or under their fridge magnet and catches their eye.
This is not a joke and has really sped up my payment returns.
See how colour stands out?

We have put our details on our "your windows have been washed" ticket, and told them they must put their address as a reference.
Malc that is a great idea, will be looking to do this soon ;D

i know this will sound daft... but the ones who pay via internet.. are the ones i gave details to personally.... is it ok to give bank details , sort code etc...sort of , willy nilly, on cards, tickets etc.
-
As long as they dont have your pin number nobody can do anything with it.... I think..... its helped us a lot with bank charges for cheques going thru' the account ;)

Always have used sae. Has worked fine.
The few who are late get a call and they normally will send payement soon after.
The custys seem to like it. saves them the hastle.
If you have not started it is a good idea to put the cost of the stamp on the bill with a note to say, 'bla bla....bla...save you having to do it'.
-
i used to put stamps on the envelope , but when i stopped it made no difference to how long it took them to pay me , so in my opinion they are a waste of money regards alan

I started with stamps but dont bother now as it made no difference. The poeple who are late paying are the same ones each month.Iknow i will get the money so it don't bother me ,i call it piggy bank saving.

i just use a " your windows have been cleaned today " note, with you can either pay us next time, pay online or send a cheque to :
i allways write the address on the rear when i post it though the door, as even though is says in BOLD please include your address, they never did, so now i just put the address on the rear, as they allways just put the slip and cheque in the post
