where do you buy them from ??

any plumbing shop should do these this one is from screwfix about £3 ,put it through the red lid at bottem of your ibc over to the other red lid if your pumping out the top of your tank or put a y piece in the middle and pump from there

you will need a piece of 22mm copper pipe to join the two coupler s together , you can also get 28mm but it is too big it will not fit inside the red lid

Ian,
Did your IBC's come with spouts on the bottom taps? I've got two joined together by a length of flat (fire hose type) hose, pushed over the spouts on each IBC and held with a couple of big hose clips. I leave the taps open so there is a flow between the two tanks. I put a length of 2" rigid plastic hose inside the flat stuff to stop it collapsing and closing the flow. I have a sub pump in one of the tanks, so as we draw water from that tank the level balances with water flowing in from the other tank.

they must have misunderstood what your trying to do, all plumbing shops sell them every home water tank has them fitted

one of the ibc's had a red screw cap with a tap in (to small for what I need) the other did not have anything on just a bare thread.
What I want is 2 screw on threads and pipe between the 2.
I was shocked than none of them could help.

B&Q water butt connectors easy peasy, just drill or melt your holes the right size and screw the nut on the back of the thread (if you can reach inside the ibc) then pop the pipe on or cement it on if you are fussy.

Ian,
I bought a second hand IBC from www.dvfuels.co.uk and they supplied the nozzles and threaded collars to attach them to the threaded spigots at the bottom of the IBC's
