Title: Carbon before , softener or ?
Post by: Moderator David@stives on September 29, 2008, 09:20:35 am
I have just bought a pro 5 and noticed the softener is before the carbon, but noticed on the newer machines it is the other way round, What is the thinking behind this and should i change mine around ?

Also noticed some have a 5 micron filter instead of a second RO, can someone tell  me what that is ?

Leave it as it is Dave.

That is normal for RO's.

The 5 micron filter is merely a sediment one designed to take bigger particles out as the first stage of most RO's.

If you want a chat about RO's and how they work and what does what feel free to call me on 01469 566376.

Cheers

Andrew
