how many of them offer u a drink alot of mine do if there in wish they didnt as it slows me down but i just like to be polite and accept

1 or 2 ish a day, ALOT less since going wfp mind
used to get loads when i was trad...how i miss those days, boiling hot days going up and down ladders doing leaded windows...no actually i dont

i dont miss that either ;D ;D
but a nice cup of hot tea in those clod winter months is a bonus you must agree but the big bonus is when they give u there chocolate biuscites

Depends if there in. Most caring ones do, some are ignorant sods that dont even chat.
Im always offered a cuppa on a hot day for some reason.. cant they see me sweating away? ::) I reply with a lovely cold glass of water would hit the spot :D
Some give cans of coke, beer (for later).
I like it when they do, as you get to know them more, they ask you how your doing.. theres more of a bond between you then, always helps business that way. If you never see them or chat, then your more likely to get dropped i feel.

good point it dose get u chatting but i tend to feel as if it slows you down a bit all this talking but agree its good relation between u and customer
like u say i have some of those polite customers who dont even want to talk
please them selfs as long as they pay me ;D

i accept a drink whether i want one or not...you never know in the future when youll be dieing for a cuppa and theyl think "oh he always says no anyway so i wont ask"

It's funny how some days you get offered a drink by neally every customer and then other days you get offered nothing!
Also... Have you ever had customers who give you a drink everytime you go and then all of a sudden one day stop offering you one even though they are still as friendly as before?

i have 1 that always one waiting when i get round the back of the property cup of tea and payment at the side of it great when this happens every month without fail ;D

take some spare roll, when you have to dash into the woods :P

I get that allot, but it would take me longer to drink it than clean there windows hot tea is just not for gulping down. Any way I never accept, I think most people only ask o be polite and I appriciate the gesture, but time is money and so forth.
There is also the tiolet issue, I have never used a customers toilet, and if I starting drinking while working, I would have to start, or find a nice secluded bush somewhere... only joking.

i had one round till about june, and everyone offered drink,they were all really hosptable, one guy even gave me a can of tetleys bitter every time i went!! :) but now i dont stop, if they ask if i want a drink ill have a cold one so i can gulp it and go, or if its cold and i have a brew i wait for it to cool and down it....

yep i do like a cuppa, prob is to many then all that watching running water from the windows makes me wanna pee alot, always cant wait for no one home so its pole in one had cleaning then the old fella in the other peeing down the drain , well what else can we do.

I have days when NO ONE offers me a cuppa ....
then the next day EVERYONE offers me one !!!!
Then all you want to do is find somewhere to pee!!! ;D

I have one customer who's house I have to do last thing in the day, he used to be my grandads friend when he was alive and he likes me to have a drink with him when I have finished his house.
This always entails my missus coming to fetch me and the van as we always get drunk on whisky, every month without fail. He is a nice bloke and likes the company so I am happy to oblige, the vicarwas there last week too, alot was drunk then!

I was cleaning this VERY rich mans house ( hes got shares in Pilkington...Liverpool fc etc ) anyway hes an old fashioned type of man ( ex military and cambridge! ) and he came out on this boiling day with a cold pint of beer for me...had to refuse!!

I've a few custies (farmers) that not only put the kettle on, but lunch as well! And not just sarnies either, a nice big spread!
Its hard to get started again after such a big feed,... but its still appreciated!
