Do you use a pda with george etc, im sick of writing up books all the time, and i am always too tired/lazy to keep up with george etc, so thought pda would be a good idea??
Are they good? Which one do you use? Any problems??
Thanks

I use a PDA with WCP & would never go back.
I use a iPAQ hp.

Macc
let us know your thoughts on Wcplite as i'm about to try it out I bought a new phone/pda so i can try it but its not delivered yet should be tomorrow
-
what pda is best??
-
Great thread, i need some advise on a PDA for WCP, i dont want to keep wasting paper and ink on printing my daily sheets.
Yup what pDA is good, best, worth buying etc?
;)

if your gonna run George then any pda with palm O/S v5 will do or if you want Wcp then you need a windows mobile device with v5 or later
-
I agree with Macc, the best one I recommend for WCP would be a HP IPaq, either an older RX1955 or the new replacement 114 Classic.
You can get the older ones for about £50 and the new ones for £150 from Amazon or eBuyer. I think that TotalPDA had them for £99 but think they are sold out.
I have just ordered a Palm Treo 750 to test on hopefully tomorrow and will let you all know
Thanks
Ian

Palm Treo 750 comes with Windows Mobile 6.0 so hopefully WCP should work. Hopefully mine should turn up tomorrow so I can play.

Hi Chris.
I was more than happy with the first version & printing off my work for each day. I agreed with Ian to do some testing on this version & was not convinced i would go for a PDA as i'm old school & not into computers. But after the initial trial of running a PDA along side my print off i could not wait to convert to PDA only.
With in minutes i sync up work for the day & load next day & the lot is done. I do my expenses on the laptop not PDA cause it suits me & that only leaves my envelopes.
All in i eackon about 10-15 mins & the lot is done.
IMO the PDA has made it a must.
Hope that helps.

ok, been looking into this.. has anyone got TomTom Navigator 6 in line with their PDA, or do u guys make use of a a-z?
Ive always been one for a map, but maybe the help of a navigator when a road get busy, or for short cuts at busy times missing busy junctions etc might prove to be a money maker in itself.

What is WCP?

What is WCP?
I cant link it, the hyperlink function wont work.. strange..
anyway, check Ian Hannafords profile :P
-
window cleaner pro, its software like george but bit more updated...
-
Is there a program which I can run on a pda alone?
I'd like to have my accounts all to hand on a pda, but I don't want to be bothered with having to hook it up to my computer and installing more crap on it. ::)
I just basically want an electronic notebook like I had at Prudential insurance.

Wcp doesnt run just on PDA alone, however if you wanted to invest in tablet PC with a full OS then it would work fine. You can pick up a tablet for about £400.

I am also going to buy a T32+ (like an iPhone but with Windows Mobile OS) and see if it works on these. Its gotta come from a land far away so may take a while to get here.

Oooh, I'll have two!
£400? :o
Cheaper to buy a laptop. Then I could play games and look at smut in my lunch break.

OK, id like to know users experiences of Sat Navs, im going to get a PDA, but ive been looking at a PDA-Sat Nav bundle, so any of you use Sat Navs? are they worth it for learning short cuts etc? Or do u use an A-Z like me?
-
I have used 3 Sat Nav's and I found 2 of them very useful. The only one I wasn't happy with was a Nokia (phone) Tom Tom set up. It would switch itself off and you didn't know it was off, until you needed directions, like at a roundabout.
