hair drier, blade and plenty of patience.
you may be left with glue marks which can be removed with some t-cut, g3 cutting compound or i believe white spirit works although don't quote me on that!
-
use a hair dryer or heat gun. not too close though
-
poor hot water over top and peel off or warm up with hair dryer

don't use a heat gun otherwise you may blister the paint!

i just poured hot water from the kettle when i did mine a while ago came off no problems..

Yeah i used hot water from kettle too ..works a treat .best get 2 kettles on the go tho it takes a while!! If you use a hairdryer it takes ages and leaves loads of glue which you have to mess about t cutting off.

and boiling 2 kettles at a time isn't messing about? ::)
if you heat the vynil enough with a hair drier the vynil and most of the glue will come straight off. if the glue stays on there it means the vynil isn't hot enough
hence why a little compound or something will remove the rest

on my last van , i used a hair dryer , then tcut the whole van to remove glue ,and blend paint work[where paint was 'newer' under decalls, they had been on over 5 yrs, took a while but van came up great .

I would rather boil another kettle than take ages scrubbing with t cut :)

Yes. Boiling water is safer than heat gun or hair dryer.
WD40 is good for taking off the glue residue.
1 - Spray it on (sparingly).
2 - Boil the kettle again for a nice cuppa.
3 - Once you've drunk the tea the glue will be ready to just wipe off with a paper kitchen towel.

Good advice,.. water from the tap isn't really hot enough,.. boil the kettle and prepare yourself for a long day. Its slow and painful work.

hot water not boiling but very hot then petrol to remove glue residue
-
wallpaper steamer is the best ,trust me ive done it about 4 times then a really good t-cut -perfect.
-
"Duraglit" or "Brasso" wadding is great for removing glue deposit.
If you heat the vinyl too much, the glue can be left on the paint as you peel it off.
Also "sticky stuff remover" was OK
As posted previously T Cut very good.
