just quickly made this, the people that live in this house are well lazy and never get their windows cleaned! (its my house)
sorry bout first window, couldnt get my cam anywhere good
but theyve dried and they both look great but i was quicker with fans, these windows dont sheet up which does my head in with the pencils, but fans seem to solve this problem
and its my day off ... dont i look great

To be honest you can't really see what's happening with the water.
There is a video on there somewhere taken from inside the house, and you can see it working.
Nice house though, and impressive beard.

yeh ill have to do a better vid me thinks
i think im tryin to demonstrate more that you dont have to do that zigzag motion across window, just rinse down

this is a bit better i think

I think your career as a BBC cameraman has come unstuck before it took off ;D but it seems obvious from that vid how superior fans are at rinsing on hydrophobic glass, well done.

took pencils out, bored hole out, not too big, and hammered them in nice and tight
-
And here's another pencil vs fan video.
This might be the one Squeaky mentioned - taken from inside the house.

FWIW:-
I have recently changed from a softer pencil brush to a harder fan brush and I feel the advantages are:-
1. I am able to flick those pesky spider's nests away quicker.
2. I clean quicker
3. I use less water.
Without measuring accurately my 400L tank now nearly always lasts the day whereas I was going back and topping up quite frequently when I used a pencil/soft brush.
I reckon I use 50/70L less per day and I now feel that whereas I was going to get a bigger van to take a 650L when I'm scheduled to change vans in 2 years, I'll stick with another Doblo or whatever Fiat model is new by then.

After using both, fanjets are definitely quicker and do a better job..... just dont go over the top edge of the window too far!!!
