Title: spray tips protector

hi guys do you leave your rubber spray tips protector on , on your spray lance.?  i have taken mine off as i prefer it off.  ??

   have always kept them on .cant understand why you would take it off
   all it does is protect not as if it gets in the way

when the protector id on the spray does not act like a fan it goes like a conical spray, on my tech clean lance it does anyway. prefer to see the tips!
