Title: accountants

my accountant wants to charge me for work done in the last 7 years he says not all work
has been billed and i now owe £2300.00 can i be charged when i have paid evry bill given to me
he says i agreed to pay £500 per year but my agreement does not mention a fee just that i should pay amounth or when work finn

change your accountant sounds like hes trying it on back dating 7 years hes having a laugh

Too right, tell him to you owe him nothing, and to find another mug to try it on with, and dont ever use him again!!

have a look at last years accounts and see how much he allowed for accountancy fees, then tell him to p@@@ off.

What area are you from?  I had a similar problem with a young lad straight out of his exams.

Expected me to do most of the work, gave us a price for the whole year after explaining that we where a new business and short of funds. Then when it came to year end slapped us with an additional bill for £600

Ask him which professional body he belongs to and initiate the complaints procedure.  DO NOT PAY.  That should shut him up.

yuor accounts, should show what you payed him over the last 7 years, see what all the invoices add up to.

question, did you sign anything to agree to the £500 per year.

it sounds abit iffy to me, possible report it to trading standards and see if they can help you any.

trading standards will not help kept most of papers so have got the 2 bodies that govern the
sh..... involved allso got onto cabs wrote a letter have another accountant figting my corner
i have not siged anything with a fee on it just a standerd letter i am from ripon but this firm has officess all over they go by a name that is a continent ie eura.......... hope this helps others
