Title: Window Cleaner Pro - Importing data from George
Post by: ianhannaford on September 16, 2008, 04:02:17 pm
As requested I have now completed a guide on how to import data from George so that you can test WCP with some real data.

There are some instructions on how to export and a video tutorial on how to import. I hope you find it useful.

Thanks

I have updated the import utility now to version 1.4. It is now easier to import your rounds. The video tutorial is still applicable but the first page (where you fetch your data) has changed. Here are some brief instructions:

1) Export each round from George and call the file name something unique (i.e. GEOCUSTGoodwin.CSV)
2) Download the file www.windowcleanerpro.com/wcp_george.sjar and replace the one in C:\Window Cleaner Pro
3) When you open WCP go to Tools->George Import Utility and check that it is using version 1.4
4) Click the browse button and locate one of the rounds you exported.
5) Enter the round name and click Get My Data button, this will create a tab with all your jobs
6) Perform steps 4&5 for each round you exported from George.
7) Once you have added all your rounds click Next and select the debts file and expenses as exported from George.
8) Click Import.

Let me know if you need any help

Thanks

Ian
